Jalen Duren arrived in Memphis ranked as the No. 1 recruit by Rivals.

He didn't disappoint.

Duren was unanimously selected the 2021-22 American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, and he earned a spot on the AAC All-Conference First Team.

Jalen Duren signs NIL deals with Bose, Candy Digital, In-House

Jalen Duren signed several Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals during his freshman season on the Memphis Tigers men's basketball team.

One of Duren's first NIL deals with In-House was signed Nov. 2, 2021. In-House is self-described as a "marketplace where tastemakers sell their brands and products."

Duren added a deal with audio company Bose that was announced Dec. 15, 2021. He followed that with an NFT deal with Candy Digital that was announced in January.

Jalen Duren misses games with hip, finger injury

Jalen Duren missed three games during the Memphis Tigers regular season in 2021-22.

Duren missed the Memphis home game vs. Tulsa on Jan. 4 due to a hip injury.

He then missed two games due to a finger injury. The games he missed due to the finger injury were Jan. 23 at Tulsa and Jan. 27 vs. East Carolina.

The only other game Duren missed during the regular season was Memphis' game at Tulane on Dec. 29, and Duren missed that game due to COVID-19 protocols.

Jalen Duren, Jabari Smith helped Team USA win U16 gold medal

Jalen Duren helped Team USA win a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Belem, Brazil.

Team USA went 6-0. It beat Canada 94-71 in the gold-medal game on June 9, 2019. Duren scored 10 points with eight rebounds in the final game.

Duren played in all six games and averaged 10.3 points and 8.2 rebounds.

DeMatha Catholic High School coach Mike Jones was the Team USA head coach. Auburn's Jabari Smith was one of Duren's teammates.
