Jam band Gov't Mule will play at Victory Theatre this spring

Gov't Mule, the Southern-rock and blues-influenced jam band featuring Grammy-winning guitarist and singer Warren Haynes, will play a show at Evansville's Victory Theatre this spring.

The concert is scheduled for Sunday, May 7, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 3, through ticketmaster.com.

Gov't Mule is a spinoff of the Allman Brothers Band, of which Haynes was a member. He and the late Allen Woody started concentrating full-time on Gov't Mule in 1997. The band currently features Haynes, Matt Abts, Danny Louis and Jorgen Carlsson.
