James Argent speaks out about 'jungle rot and swamp eye' after quitting Celebrity SAS

James Argent has spoken out after quitting Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins over the weekend.

The TOWIE star walked from the Channel 4 series in tearful scenes during Sunday evening's (October 22) episode.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (October 23), Arg shared a series of photos and clips from his time on the series, joking that while he has endured "Jungle Rot, Trench foot, Swamp eye", he has emerged from the show "a stronger person".

"And so my SAS Who Dares Wins journey ends… I left the camp a very broken man but I was content with knowing I went as far physically and mentally as I possibly could & I gave it 110%," he wrote.

"Jungle Rot, Trench foot, Swamp eye, you name it I got it lol. I have battle scars that will last a lifetime inside and out but it’s made me a stronger person. I have learnt things about myself that I didn’t know before and will continue to make progress.

"Thanks for all you love and support, It means the world," Arg added.

The star has since received a lot of support in the comments, with Celebrity SAS' Chris Oliver writing: "Well done Arg great effort it was a pleasure having you on the course".

TOWIE's Georgia Harrison added: "Love you so much proud of you xx".

It comes after Arg's ex Lydia Bright shared her pride at the star's Celebrity SAS journey, telling The Mirror: "He worked so hard before going on.

"I saw him shortly after he came back and he was so battered. He was really bruised and physically exhausted. But he did it and it's a very hard thing to sign yourself up for."

Lydia added: "He's 100% turned his life around. What an inspiration – and he works so hard too with his singing career.

"Any time I speak to him, I’ll ask, 'Where in the world are you now?' He’s probably been home for around two weeks in the last seven months. He's really dedicated and makes us all proud."
