The Masked Singer UK spoilers ahead.

The Masked Singer crowned its champion, Busted star Charlie Simpson, over the weekend. – although some viewers, along with judge Jonathan Ross, had been convinced that it was James Arthur behind the Rhino mask.

Ahead of the reality show's finale on Saturday night (February 18), James took to Twitter to respond to the people mistaking him for Rhino every week.

"F**k me I can't wait till everybody stops blowing my phone up every Saturday thinking I'm on telly singing dressed as a rhino," he wrote.

Of course, some fans continued to speculate, as one replied: "Reverse psychology I see," while another asked: "Is this a double bluff?"

However, when Charlie was finally unmasked as Rhino, James tweeted: "Charlie Simpson, I'd know that voice anywhere. One of the best out there… now everyone piss off and leave me alone.

"Honoured to be compared to Charlie Simpson by the way," the former X Factor winner added. "It's about time he got the recognition he deserves."

Following his unmasking, Charlie told the judging panel: "I was terrified the entire time, because the thing I was most scared of was remembering lyrics. I often forget lyrics to my own songs on stage."

Kaiser Chiefs star Ricky Wilson was in the Phoenix costume, and finished the series in second place – leaving judge Rita Ora surprised that she hadn't made the connection earlier given their time working together as coaches on The Voice UK.

Meanwhile, Fawn was revealed to be All Saints singer Natalie Appleton earlier on in the show.

"I loved thrilling you guys, it was such a buzz," she shared after being unmasked. "I've had the best time ever, it's been amazing. I do recommend it."
