James Charles seems to have gone completely bald — at least for now.

The beauty guru shared his new look on social media, first teasing the process.

“Wait until you guys see what I did with my hair,” he wrote in the caption of his first selfie on Instagram.

He then shared glamorous photos of his new ‘do on Twitter— and the single emoji in the caption spoke for itself.

It wasn’t long until paparazzi spotted Charles at influencer hotspot BOA restaurant and questioned him about it.

“Just trying something new,” he said.

When asked if he really shaved his head, he said he did.

“Do you like it? It’s gonna be my new look. It’s real. I just did it today,” Charles said.

He admitted that he filmed the entire process, so the drama of a new YouTube video might have been his inspiration. Of course, he could be joking, and it might just be a bald cap.

His friends and fans were pretty shocked regardless.

“When you facetimed me to show me … my gasp could be heard around the world,” fellow makeup artist Manny MUA said on Twitter.

“I really can’t tell if this is fake or not,” another user said.

Some users think paparazzi photos show it’s actually a bald cap.

That’s the magic of the internet — we’ll just have to wait and see.
