James Middleton And Donna Air ‘Confirm They Have Split’

The unlikely romance between James Middleton and Donna Air is reportedly over after they told pals they are taking a “relationship sabbatical”.

Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s younger brother James is moving to Hong Kong to expand his personalised marshmallow business Boomf – but presenter Donna is staying put in the UK.

The pair are said to have called it a day for the meantime because they didn’t think their relationship could survive the 6,000-mile separation.

James, 28, will be taking his cocker spaniel Ella to Hong Kong for his three-month stay, but Donna, 36, was against uprooting her 12-year-old daughter Freya for the sake of their romance.

James will be staying in Hong Kong for weeks at a time as he works on recruiting staff for his new office.

A source is said to have told The Mail On Sunday: “Who knows what may happen, this could be the end of the road.”

But another insider is quoted by the newspaper saying the couple remain hopeful they can work out the long distance barrier.

Donna’s said to have tired of the idea of a long-distance relationship

They added: “For now they are being forced to have time apart so they are treating it as a sort of relationship sabbatical. They will stay in touch as often as possible. They are seeing if they can work it all out.”

In September the couple hit back at reports suggesting their relationship was over by releasing a defiant statement to this newspaper, saying: ‘Happily, we can report that our relationship is not over – we are still very much a couple.’

James and Donna were last pictured together in December enjoying a romantic dinner at Scott’s restaurant in Mayfair.

But in January they had separate holidays, with former Big Breakfast host Donna enjoying a break in Mexico, while James travelled to the Caribbean island of St Barts with his sister Pippa and her financier boyfriend James Matthews.
