Jamestown Police officers apprehend pursuit suspect

May 7—The Jamestown Police Department has apprehended a person wanted after a pursuit through the city this afternoon, according to Justin Blinsky, assistant chief of the department.

Blinsky said the pursuit went through town resulting in a crash at the intersection of 8th Avenue Southeast and 7th Street Southeast. The subject fled on foot but was apprehended in the area.

Roosevelt Elementary School was locked down during the search but has since been released. Blinsky said there is no threat to the public at this time
