Jamie Chung has joined the cast of “I'm Beginning to See the Light,” a feature drama directed by Russian filmmaker Konstantin Khudyakov.

The upcoming movie centers around Ezra, played by Jack Huston, a devastated jazz trumpeter who struggles to find a sense of purpose and redemption after his wife and daughter die tragically. By chance, Ezra meets Hannah, played by Abbie Cornish, a local schoolteacher who inspires him to find meaning in his existence once more.

Chung is set to play the role of Sarah, Ezra's wife and the mother of their 10-year-old daughter. She deeply loves Ezra but is resentful of the amount of time and effort he dedicates to a music career that no longer supports their family. Meanwhile, Brandon Jackson plays Sam, a bass guitarist who is struggling to cope with being replaced in his band and losing his girlfriend. He develops a strong friendship with Ezra.

Cornish and Chung will reunite from their time on Zack Snyder’s 2011 fantasy action film “Sucker Punch,” also starring Vanessa Hudgens. Chung’s other credits include “The Gifted,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Lovecraft Country” and “Big Hero 6.” She also has a comedy feature in post-production called “The Reunion,” in which she stars alongside Billy Magnussen, Dianne Doan and Nina Dobrev.
