Japanese fans continue to clean stadium at World Cup 2022 after win over Spain

Japan continues to show the whole world its penchant for cleanliness by tidying up before celebrating Samurai Blue’s victory against Spain on Thursday.

The Japanese squad defeated the Spanish team 2-1 in a stunning upset at the FIFA World Cup 2022 match in Qatar, preventing Germany from advancing to the knockout rounds.

Besides winning the big game, the Japanese spectators’ gestures continued to capture hearts online.

Fans who came to support their national team remained at the Khalifa International Stadium to pick up garbage before attending the festivities.

This isn’t the first time Samurai Blue fans displayed such a kind gesture. They also helped stadium staff clean up after the opening game between Qatar and Ecuador before doing so again after their loss to Costa Rica.

The Japan national team members also went viral for picking up after themselves following their victory over Germany.

Japan will go up against Croatia in the next round on Monday, with the winner facing the Brazilian team during the quarterfinals.
