Jared Kushner called Chrissy Teigen a "nasty troll"' for her criticisms of his wife, Ivanka Trump.

During an interview with conservative radio personality Hugh Hewitt, Kushner praised Ivanka's "amazing business" and said criticisms of his wife "broke my heart."

"She had a brand that was doing amazing business, and the brand was about empowering women and helping people find balance in their lives, and she was praised for it by everyone in the media," Kushner said. "Then she basically gave up the actual business part and just went to pursue the mission, and the same people who praised her for it started attacking her, often viciously and very cruelly."

Teigen, a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump, criticized his daughter Ivanka during the early months of the pandemic in 2020 when she posted a photo of herself promoting Goya canned beans.

Teigen tweeted that she had "had it with anyone who EVER defends this woman or puts her as the 'sane' one in this family. what a repulsive trolling of the people."

Kushner said his wife always "stayed elegant" when she faced criticism and "would always brush it off."

"She never lowered herself to their level. She never got into the mud,". "But I have to say it was very hard for her. It did hurt her when people would be so nasty, people like, you know, Chrissy Teigen who were nasty trolls who would just say the most awful, horrible things about her, and I would see it."

"I would imagine it had to hurt when things like that happened," Kushner added, noting that Ivanka was "just protecting her name."
