Jared Leto and Alessandro Michele Did Some Gardening—in Head-to-Toe Gucci, Of Course

Jared Leto and Alessandro Michele are the best of fashion friends. During Michele's tenure as creative director for Gucci, Leto has become one of his most favored muses, with the actor often sporting very special one-off creations; as a result, Leto now almost exclusively wears Michele's designs on the red carpet or when out at events. It’s no surprise, then, that the duo have also taken to spending their off-time together. Today, Michele posted a sweet photo of the two doing some casual summer gardening together, captioning the moment, “My Solitary Summer.” But make no mistake: there were no dirtied overalls or work gloves for these haute harvesters—they were decked out in Gucci from head to toe.

Both carrying crates of various greens and lilac stems, the green-fingered pair sported complementary Gucci drips that played up the surrounding garden vibe. Michele wore a floral-printed tunic with striped shorts, pairing it with calf-length tube socks and sneakers. Leto, meanwhile, went for all-over pink in a floral silk shirt and satin joggers. He also opted for socks and slides: a controversial look that's fast becoming a celebrity-endorsed trend. As for that final matching touch? Both opted for straw hats and black sunglasses, to protect themselves from the sun. Safety first!
