Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's famed Ryman residency series returns for 2022 with yet another carefully curated set of diverse artists from a broad musical spectrum. This residency marks their eighth set of appearances at the venue and ties last year's residency for their longest run.

Via Twitter, nights between the 14-23 of October will be highlighted by Isbell headlining the Ryman Auditorium with the following opening acts, including his wife -- and 400 Unit member -- Amanda Shires:

  • October 14: Peter One

  • October 15: Grace Group Choir

  • October 16: Vagabon

  • October 18: Kevin Kaarl

  • October 19: Leyla McCalla

  • October 21: Amanda Shires

  • October 22: Hermanos Gutierrez

  • October 23: Cimafunk

Notably, Isbell's 2021 residency featured eight nights of notable African-American female artists in the country and Americana spaces, including Grammy-nominated artists Shemekia Copeland, Mickey Guyton, Amythyst Kiah and Allison Russell, plus Americana Award-nominated Brittney Spencer.

The dates of Isbell's 2022 residency coincide with the year anniversary of the release of his album Georgia Blue, an album of cover songs by Georgia-born artists that he promised to release if the Democratic party won the state in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The album features collaborations with the previously mentioned Spencer, plus Julien Baker, Brandi Carlile, Béla Fleck and others.

Isbell is on tour throughout the summer and fall, including dates with Willie Nelson at the Outlaw Music Festival, plus 2021 residency openers Copeland and Victoria. European dates with London-based folk-rockers The Rails follow through late November.

Tickets for the Ryman residency dates are on sale Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. CST at https://opryent.co/3N90QWO.
