Justin Townes Earle tribute rescheduled due to rising COVID-19 cases

Update: Last week, organizers postponed a concert benefitting late singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle due to rising COVID-19 cases in Nashville. The show now takes place Jan. 4, 2023, at the Ryman Auditorium. Purchased tickets are valid for the new date. Those wishing to seek a refund may do so at the point of purchase within 90 days.

Original story: A concert tribute to late artist Justin Townes Earle heads to the Ryman Auditorium in January on what would've been the singer-songwriter's 40th birthday.

Set for Jan. 4, 2022, the lineup features Earle's father Steve Earle and his band The Dukes, Americana favorite Jason Isbell, Country Music Hall of Fame artist Emmylou Harris and roots-rocker Lucinda Williams, among others.

Tickets to the show — billed as "Celebrating the Life of Justin Townes Earle" — start at $45 before fees and go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via ryman.com. Showgoers must provide a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination before entering the venue.

An award-winning Americana artist, Justin Townes Earle died in August 2020 at age 38. Last year, his father released "J.T.," a tribute album to Townes Earle's body of songwriting.
