Jason and Kyle Brewer have big day to win team event at Lake Toho

Jason Brewer and Kyle Brewer had 31.57 pounds and also big bass with an 8.23-pounder to win first place during the Toho First Sunday of the Month Team Trail tournament on Oct. 2 on Lake Toho. Ben Paquin, fishing solo, took second place with 22.32 pounds. Joe Moore, also fishing solo, placed third with 20.95 pounds.

Max Ladner had 11.20 pounds to win first place in the Senior Division of the Lakeland Junior Hawg Hunters tournament on Sept. 17 on the Kissimmee Chain. Dalton Jackson had 5.60 pounds and big bass with a 5.60-pounder to place second. Brody Hedges took third place with 4.51 pounds. In the Junior Division, Jaxon Johnson had 15.02 pounds and big bass with a 7.16-pounder to win first place. Brody Kauffman had 12.02 pounds to place second. Mattie Fountain was third with 8 pounds.

Bill Barlow had 8 lbs, 12 oz. to win the Lone Fishing Club tournament on Oct. 1 on the Winter Haven South Chain. Jerry Davis took second place with 6 lbs, 8 oz., and also had big bass with a 4-pounder.

Keith Brown and Dennis Minton had 10.40 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open tournament on Oct. 2 on Lake Hamilton. Tyson Dunlap and Zack Collins took second place with 8.60 pounds. Dylan Trevarthen placed third with 8.50 pounds and also had big bass with a 6.14-pounder.

Keith Howlett and Joe Magnetta had 11.90 pounds to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Club Monday Nighter tournament on Oct. 3 on Lake Cannon. Michael Fuller took second place with 8.20 pounds. Chris Bishop and Jim Bishop placed third with 7.10 pounds. Cam King and Brad Hunt took big bass with a 4.50-pounder.

The Happy Hookers Bass Club tournament scheduled for Oct. 1 on the Kissimmee Chain was canceled due to Hurricane Ian.

The Florida Bass Club Survivor Series open tournament scheduled for Oct. 1 on the Kissimmee Chain was canceled due to Hurricane Ian. The tourney will be rescheduled.

The Lakeland Bassmasters' first annual Jim Hooven Memorial Open tournament scheduled for Oct. 1 on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes was postponed due to Hurricane Ian. The first CATCH’EM CRAPPIE tournament of the season, held by Hoppy’s Marine, is on Oct. 6 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Port Hatchineha. Time is safe light to noon. Up to four anglers per boat with a $60 fee per boat, plus $5 ramp fee. Heaviest six fish go toward place prizes and big fish. The Lake Wales Breakfast Rotary Club 19th annual Reel ‘Em in for Rotary Charity Bass Tournament will be on Nov. 5 at Lake Kissimmee out of Camp Mack. Time is safe daylight until 2 p.m. Entry fee is $95 per boat preregistered by Oct. 31 and $125 day of the event. Ramp fee is $6 paid at ramp. First six places are guaranteed prize money along with a big fish pot. Always Fresh Farms, a sponsor, will add an additional $5,000 to the prize money if more than 100 teams register.
