In fact, Jason says that he's been a part of quite a few projects that didn't turn out how he imagined — but one film truly stands out.

"I’ve been a part of a lot of things that really sucked, and movies where it’s out of your hands," Jason said in an interview with British GQ.

Specifically, he says "Conan [the Barbarian] was one of them."

In the flick, Jason played a barbarian combatant hellbent on revenge against an evil warlord who attacked his village and murdered his father when he was a child.

Despite the fact that Jason didn't appreciate how the film turned out, he says still really enjoyed making it.

"It’s one of the best experiences I had," Jason explained, adding that "it [was] taken over and turned into a big pile of shit."

And while he didn't specify what exactly happened after filming wrapped, the movie wasn't well received at the box office either.

The film only brought in $63.5 million worldwide, despite a $90 million budget.

In order to prevent that from happening again, Jason says he now takes a more invested interest in all parts of his movies, starting with screenwriting.
