Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet Give a Crash Course in BoHo Couple’s Style

The refreshingly down to earth pair made luxury feel laid back.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet aren’t like other Hollywood couples. The pair don’t always grace the red carpet, but when they do, they make it count. Last night at the Los Angeles premiere of Aquaman, they arrived at the Chinese Theater in coordinated designer pieces that stayed true to their bohemian personal style. In a vintage velvet Gucci coat, black Rick Owens shirt, and Valentino pants, Momoa was decked out in some of the finest menswear available, but he stayed true to his nonconformist roots. A gold skull necklace from Judicael Sacred Skulls provided appealing contrast to his tailored look and a touch of badass cool.

In an Alexander McQueen gown with an embroidered phoenix across its bodice, Bonet was radiant. Paired with glossy booties instead of high heels, the look felt laid back in spite of its luxury. Naturally, the typical diamonds and gems wouldn’t do, so Bonet and stylist Jeanne Yang skipped flashy jewels in favor of an arm cuff by Jacquie Aiche and lengthy emerald earrings by Fernado Jorge.

Joined by their children Lola Iolani and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha, the family posed for photos and cheered on Momoa as he led the crowd in a Māori Haka. The spontaneous moment was completely unexpected—name another leading man who could kick off his Gucci and perform a ceremonial dance on the red carpet—and a fitting end to a stylish night out.
