Former Ohio University Bobcats standout Jason Preston scored the first points of his NBA career with a 3-pointer in the first quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' win Tuesday night against the Blazers in Portland.
It was Preston's only field-goal attempt of the game in six minutes of action. He also had his first NBA assist.
Preston, selected 33rd overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, didn't play last season because of a foot injury. He played three minutes in his debut for the Clippers Oct. 23.
The Clippers recalled Preston from their G-League affiliate, the Ontario Clippers, earlier in the day. In 10 games for Ontario, Preston averaged 12.5 points and 6.7 assists per game.
