Jason Segel Lists Los Feliz Home He Previously Bought from Shepard Fairey

Jason Segel is ready to offload a historic Los Feliz home that he purchased from contemporary street artist Shepard Fairey a little over four years ago. According to Variety, the How I Met Your Mother star is seeking $2.75 million for the stunning Mediterranean-style villa, which spans 2,523 square feet and boasts four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms spread out over three floors. (Segel paid Fairey $2.25 million back in early 2016.)

The home, which sits nestled into a hillside, was originally built in the late 1920s, and still retains much of its original architectural detailing, including colorful tile accents and exposed wood beamed ceilings. The house opens onto an entrance hall with high ceilings and terra-cotta tile floors. The living room is situated just a few steps down below that, and has a massive floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace, built-in shelves, and three large arched windows. The dining room features a pressed tin ceiling with intricate floral designs and access to a narrow balcony, while the kitchen provides a bright pop of color with denim blue cabinets and orange-y exposed wood beams on the ceiling. A black subway tile backsplash creates contrast. In the breakfast nook, there is a hand-painted mural which was added by Fairey during his ownership.

The spacious master suite is situated on the top floor, and includes a sitting room and luxurious master bathroom with deep-soaking tub and separate glass-enclosed steam shower. Two guest bedrooms share a bathroom on the ground level, and a fourth bedroom/bonus room on the lowest level has its own en suite bathroom and separate entrance. Out back, a tiled terrace steps down to several additional terraces, each situated under the shade of towering, leafy trees. One terrace boasts an outdoor kitchen with a built-in dining banquette; another has a grill station and space for potted plants. Presently, Segel resides in his other home, a 100-year-old Pasadena house that he bought for $4.255 million.
