“Big Slick” weekend is just days away, and “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans will be back in Kansas City for the annual benefit for Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Evans had “Big Slick” co-host/”Ted Lasso” star Jason Sudeikis on the latest episode of “Hot Ones.” Evans raved about the barbecue buffet that was available at the end of the “Big Slick” weekend a year ago.

It included pulled pork, burnt ends and ribs from different barbecue spots around town.

“It’s amazing the way the city surrounds us and supports us,” Sudeikis noted.

Evans asked: “How would you describe your ideal Kansas City barbecue crawl?”

Sudeikis pondered the question for a moment.

“I want burnt ends from, I’ll say, Gates,” Sudeikis said. “I’ll take pulled pork from Kansas City Joe’s. I’ll take any of the sides from Jack Stack. I’ll do Q39 for the turkey and I’ll do my brisket from Arthur Bryant’s.”

What do you think? Did Sudeikis get it right?

Arthur Bryant’s and Q39 thought so. The restaurants tweeted about Sudeikis’ perfect barbecue crawl.

In the “Hot Ones” episode, Sudeikis also praised “Da Bomb Beyond Insanity” hot sauce. It’s made by Spicin Foods in Kansas City, Kansas.

“I think it’s absolutely a point of pride,” Sudeikis said. “I was pretty sure it was, but I didn’t look before we started. But absolute point of pride. It’s a great name. It’s a frightening bottle.”
