Jayson Boebert facing criminal charges

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Formal criminal charges were filed against Jayson Boebert — the ex-husband of U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert — this week, after two separate alleged confrontations with family in early January.

The Denver Post reported the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s office filed formal charges Wednesday. The formal charges are the same as those Jayson Boebert was arrested on — except he is now accused of illegally pointing a firearm while drunk, rather than the initial charge of unlawfully pointing a firearm at another person.

Jayson Boebert is set to appear in Garfield County Court in Rifle Monday in both cases.
