Jayson Tatum could dunk in chain mail armor even before he joined the Boston Celtics

We should have known that Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum was destined for greatness when he showed us how he could still manage to flush the rock while wearing a suit of armor.

Still an undrafted prospect out of Duke at the time of his appearance in an ESPN “Sports Science” segment that features the St. Louis native dunking basketballs while quite literally going medieval on the rim, Tatum managed a pretty impressive if labored dunk in a full set of chain mail armor for the segment created to ” tests the limits” of the former Blue Devil’s posterization skills.

Now we know that even in an alternate reality of the multiverse that might have had Tatum playing ball in some serious protective gear after ye jousting tournament would not have hindered his leaping ability enough to keep him from dunking on hapless pages incidentally named Deuce.

In all seriousness, keep your basketball addiction fed with this quirky trip down memory lane while we wait for training camp and preseason to arrive this Fall.
