In March, the Classic Auto Show at the OC Fair and Event Center will celebrate import and Japanese models

A selection of 16 rare, handpicked classic imports are the center of a special tribute to celebrate the impact of Japanese import auto culture. A panel will also be on hand to discuss the cars, which is will include influencers in car culture and executives who have lived the history.

The display will feature a classic 1970 Toyota Crown, a 1974 Mazda RX-3 and a 1973 Datsun 240Z. The imports for this special exhibit were selected by noted tuner and designer, Big Mike and Terry & Koji Yamaguchi, CEO’s of the Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS).

“As an import enthusiast for the past 20 years, I’ve been compelled to spearhead the movement and advance import culture while inspiring others to push the boundaries and grow as builders,” said Big Mike.

“The vehicles that will be featured in this special display exemplify the passion, history, and diversity of the import enthusiast and builder community and culture.”

Visitors at the show will be able to attend a discussion that focuses on the evolution of import modifying, tuners, and the parallels of the American vintage car community to the JDM culture. Leading the discussions are GReddy Performance Products President Kenji Sumino; Ryan Basseri, founder and owner of Rywire Motorsport Electronics; Jackson Racing Founder and Owner Oscar Jackson Sr.; and Eric Bizek, founder and owner of JDM Legends.

This “is an ideal opportunity to show a collection of rare vehicles that are “classic, immortal and made in Japan,” according to Terry & Koji Yamaguchi, founders of JCCS.

The third annual Classic Auto Show will have more than 2,000 cars and trucks on display when it begins at the OC Fair & Event Center on March 16-17, 2019. In addition to the celebration of important Japanese car cultures, there will be celebrity builds and classics on hand.
