JEA plans $1.3 million remodeling of fleet services facility; Jacksonville liquor store to become car wash

JEA is about to get major improvements to the facility that services its vehicle fleet.

The JEA Fleet Services building will undergo an extensive overhaul. The project had permits approved this month by Jacksonville Building Department officials.

The work is set for remodeling about 5,800 square feet at the 5717 New Kings Road facility. The work will cost about $1.3 million, and Warden Contracting Corp. will handle the project.

New car wash rolling into town

A new car wash is being constructed in the Baymeadows area.

ABC Liquors will build an ABC Car Wash in place of its closed store at 8771 Baymeadows Road with about 4,445 square feet.

It is projected to cost $1.3 million, and R.D. Michaels Inc. is the contractor.
