Every year around Easter, Jeep debuts a bunch of concepts for the Moab Easter Jeep Safari — a gathering of like-minded Wrangler and Gladiator-philes taking trails, long day trips and partying for nine days in Utah. The Safari was cancelled this year but that didn’t stop Jeep from building upon the Jeep Wayout concept from last year, turning it into the overland-ready Jeep Gladiator Farout.

The Gladiator Farout starts with FCA’s 3.0-liter diesel V6 making 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque and a 4x4 setup. It features a roof-top tent that’s 16 feet long and 7.5-feet tall that sleeps four and “retracts in seconds.” We’ve put away tents before, and we’ll believe it when we see it

The interior is wood-lined with soft ambient lighting, a refrigerator and stove, hanging storage racks, built-in seats and table space. The cab gets dark smoke blue leather, orange stitching and plaid flannel seat inserts.

The colors is called “Earl,” and the Farout gets chartreuse accents on the hood, tailgate, tow hooks, springs, badging and shocks. It also comes with a 2-inch lift kit, 17-inch matte charcoal rims, 37-inch mud terrain tires, a modified Rubicon steel bumper and Warn winch, custom rock rails and Fox shocks. It also has a roof rack to hold what can’t fit in the cab or bed.

As with most of these Easter Jeep cars, this Farout is just a concept. But with Mopar, along with Jeep’s accessory business, anything is possible with these vehicles. “Earl” might be hard to come by, but you can always print out one of the pictures above and bring it to your local paint shop.

Hopefully, by next Easter we’ll be back to some semblance of normalcy, and the Moab Easter Jeep Safari will be back, only missing one event in what will be 54 years in 2021. Here’s to hoping!
