  • Jeep's latest teaser shows a badge and a fuzzy interior photo of what looks to be the Grand Wagoneer.

  • This follows an earlier teaser hinting at something "Grand," so we think Jeep's full-size SUV model is nearing its debut.

  • The Grand Wagoneer is also expected to offer a non-Grand, short-wheelbase version called Wagoneer.

The long-awaited Jeep Grand Wagoneer is almost here. A new teaser photo shows a badge that can only refer to this iconic nameplate, and it follows an earlier social-media tease of something "Grand" that's scheduled to debut soon. Another teaser photo gives a glimpse of the Wagoneer's interior as we near the reveal of this upcoming full-size SUV offering from Jeep.

The Wagoneer emblem, finished in gold lettering, also has an American flag logo, likely calling out the fact that the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be built in Michigan. The interior photo focuses on the engine start-stop button but also shows some wood trim and the central touchscreen infotainment screen which appears to have two knobs on either side.

We know the Wagoneer will be offered in two versions, the standard model and the Grand Wagoneer, which are likely to refer to the standard-length model and its extended-wheelbase sibling. This lineup will clearly target the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. Expected to be built on the Ram 1500's body-on-frame platform, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are likely to offer V-6 and V-8 engine options along with hybrid and plug-in-hybrid variants.

All that Jeep has said so far in terms of timing is "coming soon," so we take that to mean that the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will debut within the next few months before starting production next year.
