The legendary Jeff Jarrett will return to South Florida for AEW’s debut in Sunrise on Wednesday at FLA Live Arena, home of the NHL Florida Panthers and across from the Sawgrass Mills Mall.
AEW is familiar to South Florida with prior shows at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. AEW will broadcast AEW Dynamite live on TBS on Wednesday in Sunrise and then tape AEW Rampage for TNT.
Here is my audio interview with “The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett as he discusses AEW, his roles with the company, the pro wrestling business, his longevity, AEW in Sunrise/Fort Lauderdale, AEW at Wembley Stadium in England, the NHL and more.
Jarrett is celebrating his 37th year in the pro wrestling business. He is working behind the scenes for the fast-rising company as well as wrestling in the ring for it. He is performing quite well, too, especially for someone age 55. He joins Chris Jericho, Dustin Rhodes and Sting in that capacity.
Jarrett has followed in his family’s footsteps, wearing many hats in the pro wrestling biz. His father, the late, great Jerry Jarrett was a top-notch promoter who was integral in the formation of Mid-South Wrestling, Memphis Wrestling, the Continental Wrestling Association, the USWA and NWA-TNA. Jerry Jarrett also helped WWE occasionally, the person Vince McMahon Jr. called when the company needed some assistance.
As for the son recently...
In the ring, “The Last Outlaw” Jeff Jarrett has aligned himself with The Lethal Connection (along with Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and the 7-foot-2 Punjabi giant Satnam Singh). Outside of it, he is AEW’s director of business development, helping to expand AEW’s live event schedule and prepare the company to run house shows via “AEW House Rules.”

AEW will be traveling to Canada (Toronto, Hamilton, Saskatoon) with Toronto on June 25 hosting “AEW Forbidden Door” (an AEW & NJPW collaboration) and also London, England on Aug. 27 for its highly anticipated UK debut with “AEW All In” at Wembley Stadium.
The AEW crowds are always hot from opening bell til end of the main event and even afterward.
