JEFF RAY: --cloud cover, Steve, but the temperatures were very nice. The temperatures this afternoon in the 70s. And you can see there was some rain across parts of Texas. It was all to our south of north Texas, around the Waco and Buffalo area by A&M. You can see there was rain.

But cloud cover through the overnight hours will start to thin out and we will probably start the day, mostly clear skies. We'll have a few clouds for your Monday, but not a lot. We'll be partly cloudy to mostly sunny across north Texas. And temperatures will be a little warmer as well.

Of course, it is the home opener for the Rangers. 80 degrees by 3:00 PM. That's the forecasted high, 78 by 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM temperature in the mid 70s.

The one thing about tomorrow is it will be breezy. We'll have some strong south winds across the afternoon and into the evening. In fact, for the next three days there's a lot of talk of wind.

We got 80 tomorrow, 83 on Tuesday, 81 on Wednesday with a front coming through. If you remember yesterday, we thought it'd be warmer. Now it looks like this front comes in in the morning. We have a northwest wind all day and some cloud cover most of the day. This wind is going to be really strong and it actually starts on Tuesday as really strong wind.

Tuesday morning, here is Tuesday at midnight, well, Wednesday at midnight, heading into Wednesday morning. And we have, in some areas, like Wichita Falls, we could have wind gusts near 50 miles an hour. So this can be some strong wind in the overnight hours headed into Wednesday morning as this front comes through. And then the winds will die down a little bit in the afternoon on Wednesday, after being strong through the morning hours.

Here's the future cast. We go talking about this event. Here comes the front. There's going to be some rain chances along the Red River, actually, in the evening hours through the overnight, and then rain chances in our eastern counties as we get into the afternoon on Wednesday. I think the Metroplex will stay dry.

Some stronger thunderstorms anticipated way out to our west, but that's only a 20% chance of rain. Very windy conditions on Tuesday night. And it's only a 20% chance of rain on Wednesday, just in our eastern edge.

So the seven-day forecast is really the story of warm weather. Rain chances are small. All the way to Friday, we got about a 20% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. That's it. But every day you can see daytime highs in the 80s, and that warm weather, it continues into the weekend.
