JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Many Colorado businesses are not only adhering to public health guidelines, but some are coming up with creative ways to keep customers and employees safe.
Jefferson County has launched the 'Open for Business Spotlight," which highlights businesses that are going above and beyond to create safe environments amid the coronavirus outbreak.
To be featured, a Jeffco business must be:
Following public health guidelines
Taking action to emphasize the safety of employees and customers
Creating an atmosphere that will make customers feel confident that they can safely visit the business.

Ballmer Peak Distillery, 12437 W. Alameda Pkwy, Lakewood:
"Ballmer Peak is a local distillery that produces Australian style gin, silver rum, spiced rum and un-aged whiskey," the Jeffco post read. "For months during the COVID-19 outbreak, they manufactured much-needed hand sanitizer for the local community. Jefferson County applauds Ballmer Peak for emphasizing public safety!
Holidaily Brewing Company, 801 Brickyard Circle - Unit B, Golden:
"Holidaily Brewing is Colorado’s dedicated gluten-free brewery, brewing up delicious beers since February 2016," the Jeffco post read. "The premise of the brewery is to offer a safe product to consumers with dietary restrictions. This goes beyond beer, and they take the safety and health of their customers and staff seriously."
Rheinlander Bakery, 5721 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada:
"Located in Olde Towne Arvada, Rheinlander Bakery is a family owned business and has been baking since 1963," the Jeffco post read. "They have a large selection of traditional, gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and vegan pastries for breakfast, lunch and of course, dessert. Denver's A-List just named Rheinlander Bakery the #1 Bakery for 2020! Jefferson County applauds Rheinlander Bakery for emphasizing public safety."
West 29th Restaurant & Bar, 5560 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge:

Rib City, 8174 S. Kipling Pkwy, Littleton:
"Rib City Ken Caryl/Littleton is locally owned and operated, having been in business for 16 years," Jeffco officials said. "They pride themselves on providing excellent, high quality food, smoked in house by the best BBQ chefs. When you eat at Rib City, you’re family. They are taking all necessary precautions to keep staff and customers safe."
Village Roaster, 9255 W Alameda Ave Unit L, Lakewood:

"They love their community and have found that many guests become not only repeat customers, but part of their family. The Blackbird team has taken the state and county public health guidelines very seriously. Their goal was to transform the space into a safe and comfortable environment that followed the state guidelines."
