In a twist nobody could’ve seen coming, Jeffree Star has traded his luxurious mansion in Calabasas for what is essentially the bubble-gum pink abode’s exact opposite: a 70-acre ranch on the outskirts of Casper, Wyoming. Star bought the ranch from a local businessman, according to Variety, and though it’s unknown how much Star paid for it, the property was reportedly last listed at $1.1 million.

The YouTuber’s rustic new home is located at the foot of Casper Mountain. The 6,000-square-foot main house includes six bedrooms, a sizable eat-in chef’s kitchen that opens into a family room, and another cozy den connecting the open-plan living and dining area and the main suite. The house also includes a two-car garage, while an adjacent “shop” offers room for several more of Star and his entourage’s vehicles.

Star, who has been embroiled in countless controversies throughout his MySpace and YouTube careers, including recent allegations of racism, misogyny, and anti-Semitism, has expressed his desire to move to the Cowboy State on social media many times in recent months. “I’m flying to #Wyoming right now and can’t wait to have a second home out here soon!” he tweeted in August, adding on his Instagram Story, “I’ll be looking for some really cool ranches with a lot of acres and silence.” The scouting trip was clearly successful, and Star has already begun spending time in his new home, as evidenced by a series of early December tweets documenting his private flight to Wyoming and his plans to apply for a driver’s license there.

Though news of Star’s latest purchase came shortly after he sold his beloved fuchsia-toned Calabasas home for $3.4 million, the makeup mogul still has roots in California, in the form of the $14 million Hidden Hills estate he bought in December 2019. In another recent tweet, he confirmed that he’ll be splitting his time between the two huge properties, writing, “I’m never gonna leave Hidden Hills! I just bought a home in Wyoming with a lot of land for my family and I.”
