Jeffrey Epstein Case: James Patterson Says 'How Do You Sleep at Night?'
America’s top selling author James Patterson is commenting on the alleged monstrous behavior of disgraced business tycoon Jeffrey Epstein.
"I think this is the 'Me Too' story," Patterson told Inside Edition.
Patterson was so fascinated by the Epstein case he penned "Filthy Rich,” a book about the fallen businessman he co-wrote with John Connolly.
"At the end of the book, I lay out the questions I would have asked had I been able to talk to him and the last question was, ‘How do you sleep at night?’” Patterson said.
He says he expects other rich and famous men will be caught up in the Epstein scandal in the coming months.
"When I heard he was arrested I was overjoyed. One, because the book at least played a part in that and that there would be some justice," Patterson said.
Epstein was classified in 2011 as a Level 3 sex offender after the State of New York Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders reviewed his history of abuse allegations. It is the highest possible risk level and requires the offender to take a new mugshot each year.
But now published reports say he didn't bother to report his whereabouts to the NYPD every 90 days, per court order. The New York Post says cops gave him a “perv pass.”
Epstein has pleaded not guilty to the allegations contained in the recent indictment.
