Jenelle Evans's husband forces MTV to shut down production of 'Teen Mom 2'

On Monday’s Teen Mom 2, viewers had to watch the drama in Jenelle Evans’s life through FaceTime, since her husband, David Eason, who is banned from the show, threatened to show up any time they were filming her scenes.

MTV began Evans’s segment with a title card explaining why Evans would have to be filmed via the video messaging service.

“A few weeks ago, David texted producers that he would show up during any upcoming Jenelle shoots and force production to shut down,” it read. “Because of this, MTV crews are no longer able to travel to North Carolina to film with Jenelle.”

While Evans spoke to a producer on FaceTime, she was visibly frustrated that Teen Mom OG’s Amber Portwood continued to attack Evans and Eason online, explaining that it doesn’t make sense to her why Portwood is involved because “she’s on a different show.”

“And I think it’s ridiculous that you [Portwood] can’t reach out to me privately about it,” she added. “And it shows me the — the kind of person you are, so, I mean, I don’t know how I can ever trust her again.”

Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 in February 2018 after allegedly going on a homophobic Twitter rant. Many of the Teen Mom castmembers have sounded off about him and his relationship with Evans.

Portwood weighed in on the couple’s potentially abusive relationship on Instagram.

You start talking about, you know, all your homophobic, you know, rants, all your [bleep],” she said. “Hacky sack bull-[bleep] that comes out of your [bleep] mouth, and Jenelle, I’d expect you to say something. You need to get the [bleep] out of that relationship.”

Portwood’s feud with Eason picked up steam in January, when she called him a “disgusting clown” on Twitter.

“I swear I can’t say names because that’s just me and I don’t want to disrespect anyone. But there’s a certain ‘man’ that needs a couple interventions from some good friends lol,” Portwood tweeted. “You disgusting clown. I can’t say anymore but I’m so heated. I’ll give you attention … #tryme #clown.”

After Portwood’s continued attacks, Evans reached her breaking point and decided to respond with an Instagram video of her own.

“And you’re the one who went to jail for domestic violence, but you’re sitting here pointing fingers at my husband? And I can say a lot more,” she ranted. “But I’m not on here to talk [bleep]. I’m on here to tell you, Amber, to shut the [bleep] up about my family. Leave them alone.”

Nathan Griffith, with whom Evans is currently embroiled in a custody battle over their 4-year-old son Kaiser, saw the online fight between Portwood and his ex and believes it’s cause for her to lose custody.

“With her behavior online, her lashing out, her choice of language, her profanity, I don’t think it’s a stable environment,” he said.

Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
