Jenkins' Rowe edges Victory's Benton by 6 votes in Tremendous 10 poll
George Jackson volleyball player Holly Rowe edged Victory Christian football player Jackson Benton in the tightest battle ever in The Ledger's Tremendous 10 poll.
With 15 minutes left in the poll, Benton led by 24 votes. A late flurry of votes, however, put Rowe on top by just six votes. She finished with 32.92 percent of the vote, and Benton finished with 32.9 percent.
McKeel volleyball player Mallory Swartz finished with 17.8 percent.
Rounding out the top 10 are Lake Region boys cross country Israel Mirtil, Lakeland Christian volleyball player Mac Ash, Victory Christian volleyball player Dublin Fitzgerald, George Jenkins football player Sincere Burroughs, Lakeland girls cross country runner Avery Smith, Lake Wales football player Carlos Mitchell and Frostproof football player Donavan Soloman.
