"Today" show star Jenna Bush Hager is unabashedly a big fan of her parents, former President George W. Bush and wife Laura.

She's especially fond of their parenting style. The mom of three, including latest arrival 3-month-old son, Hal, told People that she watched her parents equally split the parenting duties.

"In a time when probably a lot of dads weren’t showing up, my dad showed up, and he helped because there was no choice. There were two of us at the same time, ," Hager said, referring to her twin sister, Barbara Pierce Bush, "and they were equal parents."

Hager, 37, also mom to daughters Poppy, 4, and Margaret “Mila," 6, recalled, "our parents made time for us."

She and husband Henry Hager, 41, intend to do the same, she said.

"Daddy and Mommy both do diapers," Hager said. "Daddy and Mommy both do bedtime. We both do baths. We both do dinner."

Both parents travel for work, so the morning show host told People that not everything is equal all of the time and their house may not be perfect. "Meanwhile there’s glitter slime everywhere," she said.

Hager said they look to her parents again when it comes to balancing home and work life.

"When my parents got home from work, there was nothing else. We didn't have the internet," she said. "So that worries me, just about all of our kids — that hopefully they know that they’re our priority and that we’re not looking down at our computers or our telephones and making them feel like they’re insignificant."

Hager says being a family of five in a two-career household can be crazy. But she has her parents to look to as an example and after that, she just owns it.

"Whenever anybody walks in, we go, 'Welcome to the nut house.' Who says that? I do," she said.
