There are plenty of gifts guaranteed to make Mother’s Day special, but Jenna Bush Hager may’ve received the best one of all. The Today with Hoda & Jenna co-host and mom of three got to hear her youngest son, Hal speak his first sentence. And his sweet words are bound to make any mom swoon.

Jenna shared a video of the interaction to Instagram. “Best Mother’s Day gift: a first sentence from my latest love,” she wrote. Wearing sunglasses and sitting strapped into his stroller, Hal giggled: “I love mama!” In the background, Jenna tried to get him to repeat it. “What did you say?” she exclaimed gleefully. But the toddler just let out another laugh.

It was a special moment to say the least, but the fact that Mother’s Day is a difficult holiday for some wasn’t lost on Jenna. “Thinking of mamas who miss their moms today, like my own mama who lost her mom two years ago today. ❤️❤️,” she wrote.

In a separate post, she thanked her mom, Laura Bush, for raising her and her sister Barbara Bush. “Happy mama’s day to mine and to all those who are or act as mamas. My mama taught me [to] love naps cuddled with a cat and a great book,” she wrote. “She taught me to appreciate the little and BIG things in nature (rafting and hiking the Grand Canyon for her 60th was one of my favorite trips!) Her calm and grace and Bob Marley records were the soundtrack of our house. Love you mama.”

This year, Mother’s Day also happened to fall on Jenna’s husband Henry’s birthday, but she didn’t mind sharing the spotlight.

“Happy to share Mother’s Day with this dude who makes being a mama so fun and joy-filled! Happy birthday Hank!” she captioned a gallery of photos from their family's celebration. “You’ll never see this but we loved celebrating you with a family dinner, homemade sheet cake, and a toddler burning man.”

To add to the festivities, the pair celebrated their 13-year wedding anniversary the next day. Jenna shared a few shots from their wedding to her Instagram Story. “13 years ago today!” she wrote. “Oh what a life. Happy anniversary! Love you.”
