Television host Jenna Bush Hager has revealed that she did not wear underwear during a recent dinner with King Charles III.

Bush Hager, who is the daughter of former US president George W Bush, addressed a previous revelation that she often goes commando by telling TV host Andy Cohen that she had dinner with the King sans underwear in September.

Speaking on Cohen’s Bravo TV show Watch What Happens Live this week, the 41-year-old shook her head when Cohen cheekily asked her if she wore underwear for that dinner.

“It was a beautiful tight dress. It [the underwear line] would have shown,” Bush Hager replied.

Bush Hager had dinner with King Charles, then Prince Charles, the evening before Queen Elizabeth II died.

The TV personality was in Scotland to interview the now Queen Consort Camilla and met with the royal family the night before the interview, which was scheduled to take place on 8 September.

However the interview did not end up taking place as Camilla and Charles rushed to be by the Queen’s side after Buckingham Palace revealed Her Majesty had fallen ill.

“The interview was supposed to start around 2 or 2.30pm,” Bush Hager explained after the event. “I was supposed to meet with the now-Queen Consort around 1.30pm. At 12.30pm, we heard sort of running up and down the halls. [The royal’s team] came in and said, ‘Can you please be quiet. There’s a call.'”

In November, colleague Hoda Kotb, Bush Hager’s co-host on the show Today with Hoda and Jenna revealed that the former first daughter often goes commando.

“I think it makes a more pretty silhouette. I also think you don't have to pack as much. There's a lot of pros to it!” Bush Hager said at the time.

“I'm sure my parents were not thrilled,” Bush Hager told Cohen of the revelation, adding that she is a “lady” and would have never divulged that information had Kotb specifically asked.
