Wednesday Addams formed a close relationship with her roomie-turned-bestie, Enid Sinclair, when she first arrived at Nevermore Academy on Netflix's supernatural series Wednesday. The duo became immediate friends, sharing close hugs and even getting a little jealous when other people had their individual attention. Wednesday and Enid's dynamic ignited fan theories that the roomies may be more than just friends and even nicknamed their rumored relationship "Wenclair." Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers, who star as Wednesday and Enid, respectively, seemingly agree with the fan theories.
In November, Emma hit the red carpet premiere of Wednesday, where she opened up to Pride about her thoughts on "Wenclair." Pride's red carpet correspondent began their chat by recalling a previous conversation they had with Jenna. "In a perfect world, we would've been like a thing. Do you and Wednesday make a good couple," the correspondent asked. Emma replied, "I always say and they were roommates." The correspondent followed up by saying, "opposites attract," and Emma smirked and replied, "exactly. You know what I mean, and they were roommates. That's what I always say."
This isn't the first time Jenna or Emma has addressed rumors about their character's relationship. During a chat with Elite Daily, Emma said, "I feel like that's a really, really powerful thing to see. I feel like people want to see powerful women with powerful women."
Jenna previously dished to MTV News about where she sees Wednesday's dating life going after the show's shocking finale. "Now that Tyler's off the table, I feel like she's off of boys for a while. I feel like her and Xavier are just getting to a safe place. I think there's an opportunity there for a really sweet platonic relationship."
