Jennifer Aniston 'working on something' with Friends co-stars

The Friends star played fashion enthusiast Rachel Green on the long-running show

Jennifer Aniston has teased that she is "working on something" with her former Friends co-stars.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her talkshow, the 50-year-old discussed working again with David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry.

She said they would love to work on "something" together but confirmed there would be no reboot of the hit US sitcom.

Teasing the idea of an onscreen reunion and exciting members of the audience, Aniston said: "Listen, we would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is, so we're just trying, we're working on something."

Continuing to probe, DeGeneres said: "We can safely say it's probably not a reboot - a movie though?"

The Horrible Bosses actress joked: "Huge, huge, huge movie. We don't know."

"A possibility that it's a movie?" Ellen added.

Remaining tight-lipped, Aniston said: "I don't know yet! I don't want to lead people on."

Aniston, who played fashion enthusiast Rachel Green on the long-running show, recently crashed Instagram after joining the social media platform.

The actress gained 8.6 million followers in less than 24 hours and her first post was a group selfie with her Friends co-stars, which has received more than 14 million likes.

The cast had not been pictured altogether since the show's ending in 2004.

DeGeneres questioned the reasoning behind the six actors getting together, with Aniston explaining: "We did that because we miss each other and we all happened to be in the same part of the world."

Aniston and DeGeneres, who have been close friends for a number of years, also riled up the audience by kissing.

It occurred after a discussion about the last time DeGeneres had kissed a man and Aniston's last kiss with a woman, to which the actress replied: "I don't kiss girls on the lips".

After the kiss, Aniston said: "You have such soft lips."

Friends, which debuted in 1994, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary.
