She also explained how she developed a deeper love for her husband after watching him become a dad, saying: “My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that.

“And then they’re both just, like, out there—walking around, crossing streets. He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be like, Good night! You know? Like, who sleeps?”

While he main focus is raising her son at present, Lawrence is gearing up for the release of new movie, Causeway.

The upcoming feature also stars Brian Tyree Henry and Samira Wiley and sees her play an American soldier who returns to her hometown of New Orleans after a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan.

Lawrence also serves as executive producer on the flick which marks the first project from her production company, Excellent Cadaver.

Causeway will have its premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival later this month.
