Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Just Snagged a Malibu Beach House for $6.6 Million

The superstar couple also listed a $17.5 million Park Avenue apartment last month

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are feeling restless with real estate in 2019. After listing their Park Avenue apartment for $17.5 million in January (they purchased it for $15 million last spring), the couple snapped up a gorgeous three-story beach house in Malibu that same month.

According to Yolanda’s Black Book, which first reported the purchase, the couple put down $6.6 million for the 4,404-square-foot home, an abode previously belonging to Entourage actor Jeremy Piven. The home, originally built in 1949, comprises four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a master suite that occupies the entire third floor, with plenty of unique upgrades throughout.

Piven spent $1.5 million on renovations to the home, according to realtor.com, adding numerous Southeast Asian touches to the largely pristine white aesthetics, including an intricately carved wooden swing on the first-floor balcony. The front of the home is largely hidden behind a secure courtyard entrance overrun with vines and numerous potted plants, and opens onto a sunlit open-air common living space that includes an upgraded kitchen with commercial-grade appliances and an adjacent living room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea.

Each of the bedrooms has its own direct view of the ocean as well, with the master suite offering up the most elaborate combination of amenities: a built-in soaking tub, a walk-in closet, a steam shower, and even a private balcony overlooking the beach. Other luxury amenities throughout the home include a screening room upstairs, an outdoor jacuzzi on the main floor’s outdoor deck, and an entire “entertainment” unit on the lower level, which includes a wet bar and dry sauna.

At present, the couple are on the lookout for a larger condo for their joint families in NYC, but also maintain two mansions in Southern California — one in Bel Air and the other in Hollywood Hills. Rodriguez also has an expansive home in Coral Gables, Florida, where he and Lopez frequently retreat to to relax and soak in some sun.
