Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Sell Luxe Park Avenue Condo for $17.5 Million

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez found a lucky buyer for their luxurious $17.5 million Park Avenue condo recently—just over one year after they purchased the place. The now-engaged couple made headlines when they went in on the apartment together for $15.3 million in March 2018, but they turned around and put it back on the market in January 2019, reportedly in hopes of finding a larger space for their family (Lopez and Rodriguez each have two kids from a previous marriage).

Not that the apartment in the Rafael Viñoly–designed 432 Park Avenue (the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere) is small by any stretch of the imagination. Spanning 4,000 square feet, the three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom dwelling features an enormous combination living and dining room space and a sizable library, as well as four terraces which provide breathtaking views of the city. The master suite even has two separate bathrooms for his-and-her privacy, along with a separate dressing room.

The building’s many amenities were also likely a big sell for both A-Rod and J.Lo and the condo’s new owners. The stylish high-rise has a private restaurant, lounge, 75-foot indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and a screening and performance venue. “They love the services, the amenities—they use the gym, they use the boardroom for meetings,” a source told Page Six back in January. “But for the size of their family, they need something much larger.”

It hasn't been reported that the couple have found a new, larger place in Manhattan just yet, but they already own a number of other homes to stay in in the meantime. Between the two of them, the former baseball star and the singer have residences in Miami, Los Angeles, and elsewhere in NYC (last August, it was revealed that they have a secret pied-à-terre on the Upper West Side).

Most recently, they purchased a Malibu beach house which had previously belonged to Entourage star Jeremy Piven for $6.6 million. The home, originally built in 1949, spans 4,404 square feet, and includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Chip and Joanna Gaines are rumored to be helping the superstar couple completely renovate the home (hopefully!) for a TV special.
