Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Visit Chip and Joanna Gaines in Texas

The trip was an anniversary gift from the baseball star to the singer

One thing we know about Jennifer Lopez is that she loves the HGTV show Fixer Upper, and the singer and her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, recently paid a visit to Waco, Texas, to spend some quality time with Chip and Joanna Gaines.

During their trip, J.Lo shared a video on her Instagram story of the foursome visiting Magnolia Market at the Silos, calling their outing the “Best Day Ever.” In another frame, she tagged the Magnolia founders and wrote, "Thank you for hosting us!" In the videos, A-Rod can be seen browsing some books and candles, while Chip gleefully says, “What a time in Waco, Texas!”

On April 27, the baseball star posted a picture of the group on Instagram with the caption, “ARod Corp hits Capital Gaines in Waco, Texas.” The Hustlers star then commented, “Best anniversary gift ever!!”

Chip had his own hilarious take on the visit. “What is going on,” he captioned the same picture on his own account. “This is like a Twilight zone of hot people. Then there's me, looking as usual.. disheveled. Thanks for coming to town @jlo and @arod!”

Though Lopez and Rodriguez actually marked two years of dating back in February (they got engaged in March), it seems that their double date in Texas was part of a larger anniversary gift from the former New York Yankee to his fiancée. During a February appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Lopez revealed that, as a present to her, he had enlisted Joanna Gaines's help to renovate the home the couple purchased in Malibu that month.

“I’m obsessed with Fixer Upper,” Lopez told DeGeneres. "We actually got a little fixer-upper next to the water, and we were like, 'Oh, we gotta fix this up.' It's really a house that needs work. I was like, 'Wouldn't it be amazing to have [Joanna Gaines] do it for us?' But she doesn't do anything outside of Waco. Like, nothing."

That's where Rodriguez pulled some strings. "And then comes our anniversary,” Lopez said. “He goes, 'I want you to go to this meeting with us for the architect for the house.' And I was like, 'OK, great.' And he opens up FaceTime, and it's Joanna Gaines. And I was like, 'Are you kidding? Hi!'"

In March, Lopez and Joanna were spotted spending some quality time at the four-bedroom, three-bath property, and since cameras were seen recording that visit, we'll be looking for J.Lo and A-Rod when the Gaines's new television network launches in 2020.
