Whether or not you tune in to Jeopardy! during the week, Mayim Bialik is everywhere these days. Apart from cohosting the quiz show with Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings, she stars in her Fox sitcom Call Me Kat and hosts her podcast Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown What’s more, The Big Bang Theory actress is set to make her feature directorial debut in April with the family dramedy As They Made Us. But how does she do it all? Well, she might have just told us.

On Monday, Mayim took folks behind the scenes and into her bedroom to show how she stays grounded no matter how much is on her plate. In her latest TikTok, which she also shared on Twitter, the 46-year-old neuroscientist revealed that she has a meditation corner where she’s surrounded by her favorite personal items.

“This is kind of embarrassing but ones of the things that I did during this last year of the pandemic is I tried to find spaces in my home that could bring me comfort,” Mayim said in the clip. “Because without all the places that I normally go to distract me or do fun things, it was feeling kind of hard. It was feeling hard. So, I turned a tiny meditation corner in my bedroom. Don’t laugh.”

Despite her request to the audience, she still chuckled to herself. “I’m laughing because what I think the Gwyneth Paltrow version of this is which is very different,” she said. Mayim then showed a cabinet filled with “all [her] pretty things” like crystals, stones, candles and incenses.

“This is my meditation corner,” Mayim continued. “I sit here. I turn off all the lights at night and I just put [one] light on and I light some candles. Sometimes I just sit. Sometimes I do meditate … I don’t mean to by embarrassed by it. It’s just something I’ve never had, and I really like it.”

Without hesitation, Mayim’s fans threw their support behind her in the TikTok comments section and applauded her for prioritizing her mental health. “No embarrassment, no laughing. Everyone needs a space of their own. Yours is just like you, cool and cute,” one person wrote. “Well done. Enjoy the peace and calm,” another added. “GREAT IDEA! A safe and serene space right at home. 🤔 I want to do this now! 🥰🥰,” a different fan said.

Aside from inspiring some to make their own corner, Mayim routinely shares different ways that people can make time for their mental health. When she’s speeding through her day, for instance, she forces herself to take a quick pause and take breaths. “Instead of seeing every destination as just the pit stop to the next destination, trying to find where I am in space is really, really helpful,” Mayim said in another TikTok.
