The Jeopardy! universe is about to expand with the release of Celebrity Jeopardy! later this fall.

ICYMI, Jeopardy! season 38 is set to end on July 29, but there will be even more episodes to look forward to come September. Apart from the quiz show returning with season 39 on September 12, its new primetime spinoff series Celebrity Jeopardy! will premiere on September 25. While details about the trivia show’s Hollywood spinoff have stayed under wraps since its unveiling back in May, ABC recently shared that Celebrity Jeopardy! will be part of the weekend lineup, airing at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday nights.

“Celebrities + Trivia = A Great Time. See you Sept 25 on ABC for the Series Premiere of #CelebrityJeopardy!” a tweet from June 16 read.

Similar to Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and Celebrity Family Feud, Celebrity Jeopardy! will feature a “star-studded” roster of contestants, according to an ABC press release. What’s more, the network’s Sunday lineup will be filled with lots of trivia because Celebrity Jeopardy! and Celebrity Wheel of Fortune will air back-to-back, followed by The Rookie.

This won’t be the first time celebrities have tried their luck at Final Jeopardy. A fandom website reported that Celebrity Jeopardy! was previously around for two decades between 1992 and 2012, during which Alex Trebek brought on more than 200 celebrities to compete against each other. Contestants included Anderson Cooper, Jodie Foster, Ashton Kutcher, Neil Patrick Harris and more.

So, who will host Celebrity Jeopardy!? It will most likely be current Jeopardy! cohost and Big Bang Theory actress Mayim Bialik. As viewers may know, she and Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings have partnered to host season 37 and season 38. While executive producers wait to announce a permanent Jeopardy! host for season 39, there’s a good chance Mayim will be the face of this new project.

If the rumors are true, it would make sense given that she hosted the National College Championship and Professors Tournament earlier this year, in addition to regular in-season episodes. That said, nothing has been confirmed yet except a premiere date.
