Jeremiah’s Italian Ice sets opening date in Warner Robins. Macon, Perry stores coming
The first Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in Middle Georgia is set to open Tuesday in Warner Robins, with multiple locations planned for the region.
Sisters Monica and Manali Patel purchased the franchise rights for Middle Georgia, with plans to open another location in Warner Robins, their third location in Perry and a fourth in Macon.
The dessert shop serves up three frozen and refreshing treats: Italian ice, soft-serve ice cream and a layered combination of the two called “the gelati.”
Monica and her husband, Ankit, who have two children, ages 3 and 5, wanted to incorporate their kids into their next business venture after selling their Tropical Smoothie Cafe franchise stores.
“We wanted to do something kind of meaningful to us and our family,” she said.
She and her husband were high school sweethearts, graduating from Houston County High School in 2006.
The new Warner Robins store is on one end of the Century Market Plaza Phase II at 810 Ga. 96, Suite 2200.
A Little Caesars is going in next door and at the opposite end of the building, Another Broken Egg Cafe, a first for Middle Georgia, is gearing up to open soon.
What to expect
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice has more than 40 Italian Ice flavors, with 24 flavors featured daily — including seven that rotate, said Zoe Gennaria, who manages the Warner Robins store.
To name a few, flavors include mango, strawberry lemon, blueberry, sea salted caramel, coconut and scoop froggy frog (mint chocolate chip).
The soft-serve ice cream comes in vanilla, chocolate or swirled in a cup or cone. Toppings also are available.
Popular gelati offerings include birthday cake — a layering of cake batter Italian ice, vanilla soft ice cream and rainbow sprinkles — and oreo mud pie, which is a layering of cookies & cream Italian ice, swirled ice cream and Oreo cookie crumbles.
Jeremiah’s Italian Ice also offers dairy-free, vegan and sugar-free options.
On a recent visit prior to opening, Gennaria and Grant Ledford made a few of the frozen treats for The Telegraph for photos and to showcase the variety. Ledford, who manages Jeremiah’s Italian Ice in Suwanee, also serves as a trainer for franchise locations opening in Georgia.
The creations included an Oreo mud pie gelati, a caramel apple gelati, a strawberry lemon Italian ice, a vanilla cone with sprinkles and a sugar-free tangerine Italian ice.
Of all the possible creations, Ledford said his favorite is the peanut butter cup gelati, which is layers of the p-nutty Italian ice, chocolate ice cream and Hershey’s mini-chocolate chips.
Gennaria’s favorite is the mango Italian ice.
