Jeremy Banks is with Tennessee football team for Vanderbilt game

NASHVILLE – Tennessee linebacker Jeremy Banks is with the Vols at Vanderbilt after not making the trip to last week’s South Carolina game.

Coach Josh Heupel said he was “hopeful” Banks would be available to play against Vanderbilt. He went through warm-ups in the team's regular routine.

On Monday, when asked if Banks had an altercation with a teammate or served a suspension, Heupel said, "As far as what transpired and those types of things, at the end of the day he wasn't available (against South Carolina)."

Heupel added, “We anticipate Jeremy being with us this week.”

Banks, a preseason All-SEC selection, is the team’s No. 2 tackler. He has 46 tackles, four tackles-for-loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 10 games. He also touts eight quarterback hurries as Tennessee’s most disruptive blitzing linebacker.
