Jeremy Lin has declared that he will be playing for the New Taipei Kings of Taiwan's P. League+.

Announcing the move: Lin, 35, announced his decision to move to the New Taipei Kings from his previous team, the Kaohsiung 17LIVE Steelers, for the upcoming season in an X post on Thursday.

"To Kaohsiung and the Steelers, thank you for giving me some of my best times and memories as a basketball player," he wrote.

"I will forever cherish the short, but amazing, time we had together. I hope that through last season, Ive impacted you all as you have impacted me. There will forever be love for the Steelers in my heart," he continued.

Dream come true: After thanking his previous team, the 2019 NBA champion revealed that he will be joining his brother, Joseph, 31, as a member of the New Taipei Kings.

"After many months of thinking and praying about the upcoming season, Ive decided to play for the New Taipei Kings," he said.

"This is a dream come true, a dream @Joelinsta and I have dreamt about our whole lives. To be able to share the court together as teammates. Thank you to the Kings organization for this opportunity and for believing in me."

Considering retirement: Earlier this year, Lin considered retiring from basketball following a horrific head injury he sustained during a game against the Formosa Taishin Dreamers.

He eventually broke his silence about his future in the P. League+ in July, announcing at the time that he is “ready to get back on the court and prepare for the 2024 season, wherever that may be.”

How people reacted: Several fans congratulated Lin under his X post, with some of them expressing excitement over the fact that the two Lin brothers will be teammates.
