In one of the most talked about weddings of the year, Jerry Hall tied the knot with newspaper magnate Rupert Murdoch on Saturday - in an intimate ceremony on Fleet Street, London.
But it wasn’t the star-studded guest list (that included Jerry’s daughter Georgia May Jagger, Bob Geldof and Tracy Emin) that stole the show, it was the bride’s dress.
Picking out a frock for a wedding that’s bound to make the front page of every newspaper in the country and be talked about for years to come can’t be easy, but Hall, 59, managed to settle on the perfect number: A modest, yet fashion-forward dress cut from a duck egg blue fabric that complimented her fair complexion.

The dress was no off-the-rack piece: It was designed especially for Hall by Vivienne Westwood herself - cementing a relationship that’s lasted for years. Hall’s donned a number of the British designer’s pieces on the red carpet (most recently at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars bash) and it was in a Vivienne Westwood show that Hall’s then 14-year-old daughter Elizabeth made her catwalk debut.
A far cry from the structured and billowing gowns that Westwood is known for, Hall’s dress was a much softer style.
Boasting sheer sleeves and a draped effect, the midi frock was the perfect choice for the tall supermodel - who towered over her new husband, despite wearing flat Roger Vivier silver shoes.

It’s a very different look to the dress Hall wore when she married Mick Jagger in 1990. Back then, she went down the more traditional route and wore an off-the-shoulder white dress from Antony Price.
She’s since sold the dress, raising over £2,000 for it at a charity auction in 2008.
