Jerry Jones won't fix glare at AT&T Stadium after Cedric Wilson complained about it

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is on the war path this offseason. Jones expressed a desire to make multiple changes within the organization after the Cowboys lost their wild-card game against the San Francisco 49ers. Even head coach Mike McCarthy might be on the chopping block.

But at least one thing will stay consistent. Jones intends to keep the horrible glare at AT&T Stadium that hurt the Cowboys during their playoff loss. Jones said there are 9,999 things he needs to change before adding shades to AT&T Stadium.

The glare — and the sun — became an issue during the team's loss against the 49ers. It prevented Cowboys receiver Cedric Wilson from making a catch on a crucial third-down play.

The route took Wilson directly into the sun's path. He was open on the play, but couldn't find the ball once he turned around. After the contest, Wilson admitted the sun prevented him from seeing quarterback Dak Prescott or the ball on the play.

The glare usually appears at AT&T Stadium during afternoon games. The sun shows through high windows on the stadium, presenting visibility issues on certain parts of the field.

Jerry Jones rants about losing in wild-card round

Jones expressed plenty of frustration following the Cowboys' 23-17 loss to the 49ers. He was angry the team "used up some very talented players over the last few years" without winning a Super Bowl. Jones was non-committal about keeping McCarthy, though Jones said he would make changes if he felt "men at any level would improve us."

McCarthy was hired by Jones prior to the 2020 NFL season. The Cowboys are 18-15 in two seasons under McCarthy.
