'Seinfeld' was most successful comedy series in television history

Seinfeld’s comedy career took off after his first appearance on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" in 1981.

Eight years later, he teamed with fellow comedian Larry David to create what was to become the most successful comedy series in the history of television: “Seinfeld.” The show ran on NBC for nine seasons, winning numerous Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards, and was named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide.

"Seinfeld" was identified in 2012 as the best sitcom ever in a 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair poll.

Seinfeld's latest Emmy-nominated Netflix projects include “Jerry Before Seinfeld” and “23 Hours to Kill” along with the highly acclaimed web series, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.”

Seinfeld came to Binghamton in 2014, 2018

Seinfeld is no stranger to performing in Binghamton. He had a pair of shows here in 2018. Demand was so high that a second show was added after the first performance sold out.

Seinfeld made a 2014 stop in the Southern Tier as well, doing two standup shows at the Forum during that tour.

In addition to the "Seinfeld" series, the Netflix specials and the web series, Seinfeld has also starred in, written, and produced movies, directed and produced a Broadway hit, written three best-selling books and recently announced an upcoming film, "Unfrosted."
