A 10-year-old New Jersey pup is defying his disability.

He suffers from paralysis of his hind legs, but he doesn't let that slow him down. He gets around with a doggy wheelchair. And his success has earned him a spot on the 2024 Walkin' Pets Calendar, which features animals with disabilities.

Four years ago, Tank was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease, an age-related degenerative condition that causes pain and, for this pup, paralyzed his hind legs. He was no longer able to stand.

Emergency surgery gave him back the ability to stand on his own, but he still couldn't walk. Through a special wheelchair, he can enjoy freely roaming around during his walks.

Tank, from Camden County, is an American Staffordshire Terrier. He was chosen for the calendar through an international photo contest.

Proceeds from all sales of the calendar will be donated to a fund that helps disabled pets to get a wheelchair, according to Walkin' Pets. Among the winners for the 2024 calendar, there is a cat, an opossum, a pig, a bunny and nine dogs.
